Rangers 1, Florida 3
The fragrance coming from the Garden last night was one only a rat could love. Fitting then that the Rangers would go on to lose in convincing fashion to Florida, the team that bested them in the ECF last spring.
The game was over at 02:42 of the first after Lundell (5) scored at 00:44 followed by Verhaeghe (1). Lafreniere (4) would cut it to 2-1 at 04:44 of the second but Florida’s Bennet (6!) put it away for good at 06:59 of the third.
Though the score may have been close, the game never really felt it. The Rangers were sloppy throughout and appeared to be indifferent to the fact there were paying customers in the house. Oh, and Florida did not even have Barkov playing last night and others who were instrumental to their cup run are gone.
Ranger brass sent Rempe to Hartford last night. Will be interesting to see who else may go when/if Vesey is cleared to play.

So far so Good in this format for me . Game was not exciting to watch at all. I tape the games and found myself fast forwarding alot. There are certain players that you want to watch every time they are on the ice. Rempe is one of them. Avery was another. Barnaby, Sandy McCarthy, Simon. But also players like Jagr, Panarin when he wants to, Brendan Shanahan, way back when with Gretzky I love when then win, but they aren’t going to win all the time . So alot of this is for the entertainment value as well. Boring players make me disinterested and either fast forward or turn it off.

Only 7 years for Lafrenière. Have to think an 8th year would have brought up the AAV. Great deal for the Rangers.
